SPACELY

Spacely is a crowd control app that helps people to avoid crowded areas, especially because of COVID-19. Ever since COVID-19 started, it has affected many people’s lives making it very uncomfortable and dangerous to be in crowded places without being cautious. With this app, people can post when certain places get crowded in real time so

others can avoid it when they feel uncomfortable by this.

As a group project, our mission was to lower social anxiety and discomfort in public areas by providing people with crowdsourced data on the crowd levels of a given area or a business. Basically, the app helps everyone to get the best experiences in public regardless of any disabilities, anxiety, or other obstacles. The app contains pins on a map for people to be able to see what places are crowded the most to least with colored pin on each place. It also allows the customers to leave comments as well as what is happening in that area.

Spacely is a name we used for our app which signifies social distancing in public and being spread out from the crowd . When you go through the app, there are some easy steps to follow that will help you navigate your way through reaching the final destination. To look for less crowded places, the app provides search for locations by map, by keywords, and by dashboard which is current location of where you are at.
